celebrities like Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman are flocking to the
United Kingdom to take part in the London Olympics festivities say the
tabloids and mainstream media news sources. The Washington Post
revealed, "Away from the track and field, Hollywood royalty such as
Brangelina and [Kidman] will be rubbing shoulders with diplomats and
businessmen at the city's glitziest clubs and grandest historic
buildings."
Other big name celebrities are reportedly planning to attend several of
the black tie galas happening around the city with the lovely ladies.
Allegedly Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Prince Harry are
all on the special guest rosters.
Angelina Jolie 2007"The organizers did not immediately confirm the
reports, but judging from the list of celebs sitting on the charity's
committee — George Clooney, Catherine Deneuve and Hilary Swank, to name a
few — there will definitely be no shortage of VIPs..." says the
Washington Post.
Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie have been friends for quite some time
now, and the famous ex-wife of actor Tom Cruise has unabashedly praised
Jolie for her acting ability in the past. For that reason, it is not
surprising to hear the ladies will be partying together at many of the
same events during the London Olympics celebrations.
Nicole Kidman 2011As far as personal interests they have in common,
Jolie and Kidman are Goodwill Ambassadors for the United Nations. Both
women have actively supported a variety of charity benefits over the
years as well. For that reason, their bond (at least on the surface)
appears to be one of friendship [as star celebs who support humanitarian
causes] more than anything else.
But don't forget, aside from being rich, famous, gorgeous, fashion icons
and charitable that they have one more very important thing in common.
Angelina and Nicole are both adoptive parents. While Angie adopted three
of her six children, Nicole adopted two of her own four children. [The
first two she adopted with Tom Cruise, the second she gave birth to
naturally with husband Keith Urban.] Angie, of course, famously adopted
three kids then gave birth to three more with father Brad Pitt.
Both ladies significant others are expected to be in attendance at
special events in London.
